Initial Consultation
The initial consultation appointment is approximately 1 hour.
- Meet Carol.
- Discuss your dog’s behavior and health history.
- Discuss your training needs and goals.
- Go over any dog training and behavior questions you may have.
- Your trainer will make recommendations to set your dog up for success.
- Begin an introduction to reward marker training.
- You will be provided with digital information handouts related to topics discussed.
- Book follow-up private lessons or adventure training lessons.
Note: Appointment times are not exact. Please allow for a 30-minute time frame before/after your scheduled appointment time as Carol & Shannon are traveling between multiple towns for appointments. We will generally text our ETA when heading to your appointment. Do not feed your dog a heavy meal prior to training sessions. Provide your trainer with treats/food for your dog if your dog has any dietary restrictions.

Adventure Training Lessons
- Dog must be pre-approved at the initial consultation (or follow-up private training lessons) before beginning Adventure Training Lessons.
- Carol will work your dog without you present. We bring your dog to a local park, hiking trail, or dog-friendly store for mental/physical exercise and training. Training will be altered to your individual dog’s abilities and needs.
- Visit our Instagram or Facebook page to see examples of our client dogs enjoying their Adventure Training Lessons.
Private Lessons
Follow-up after Consultation
Follow-up training lessons are scheduled after your initial consultation appointment. We can continue lessons in your home/neighborhood, or we can meet at public dog-friendly locations (if your dog’s temperament is appropriate to so). We do not have a set training syllabus; we alter the training lessons to fit the individual client’s needs. There is no additional charge for multi-dog households, however lessons are by the hour (so for more than one dog, you will be sharing the hour between the dogs, or you can schedule one lesson per dog back-to-back or at different days/times).
